OUR CLASSES

Nice Point Education Centre has been in the Charming Garden area for more than 11 years. We have a established a great reputation as being a reliable and proven way for children to develop English language skills. 

 

Playgroup (ages 2 1/2 - 3 1/3)  

Our playgroup class is designed to aid young children into getting used to children being in an English classroom setting independently. They will begin to develop vocabulary, proper pronunciation and phonics.

Kinder phonics: (ages 3-5)

Students will learn the letter and sound of the basic 26 letters of the alphabet. They will also learn to identify the phonemes in words and we will practice learning to write letters. The children will also continue increasing their vocabulary.

Phonics: (ages 5-7)

This level's focus is on reading and spelling using long and short vowels.  The children will students will be tested every class to sharpen their abilities and be given individual reading time with the teacher each class.

Advanced Phonics (based on ability)

At this level the focus will be on digraphs, double and triple consonant pairs and diphthongs. The students will continue to be tested each class on listening, reading and spelling. 

 

Reading and Writing  (ages 5 and up)

The students practice reading chapter books. They will work on enhancing their vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension and pronunciation.

Cambridge prep (ages 5 and up, Starters, Movers, Flyers, KEY, KEY, PET )

The students study English vocabulary, grammar, speaking and listening as they go through Cambridge materials with the native English teacher.

Interview prep (ages 4 and up)
